Support
One person reads this address, and answers it.
Write to hello@pointlessaudio.studio. There is no ticket system, no bot and no queue number: an email arrives, gets read, and gets an answer — usually within a couple of days.
What to include
None of this is mandatory. It is simply what turns “it does not work” into a fix instead of three emails asking questions.
- What you are using — the plugin or app, and its version.
- On what — your operating system, and for plugins the host (Live, Logic, Reaper…) with its version and format (VST3 or AU).
- What happened, and what you expected instead. A screenshot, or twenty seconds of screen recording, is worth a page of description.
- When it happens — every time, or only sometimes and after what.
Plugins
Plugins are sold and delivered through Gumroad, which is also where your downloads and licence live: if you lost a file, your Gumroad library still has it. For anything about payments, invoices or refunds, Gumroad is the merchant of record — but write to us anyway if you are stuck, and we will point you the right way.
Installation and manuals are on each plugin’s page, under Plugins.
pocketgrid
pocketgrid turns an iPad into a monome grid and arc for norns. Two things cover most of what can go wrong:
- The app finds nothing. norns and iPad must be on the same network, and the norns must be awake. The app carries the small mod norns needs and installs it for you: if the mod is missing, the app says so on launch and offers to put it there.
- It found the norns but nothing lights up. The mod is installed but not running: norns loads mods at boot, so it needs one restart after installing. The app asks for it.
If you write about pocketgrid, add your norns version (SYSTEM > UPDATE shows it), whether it is a norns or a shield, and which script was running.
Something else
Ideas, disagreements, a plugin that behaves oddly in a way you cannot pin down — those are welcome at the same address. So is telling us something works: it is rarer than you would think, and it helps decide what to build next.
